Once there were two women who never knew each other

One you do not remember the other you call Mother

Two different lives shaped to make you one

One became your guiding star the other became your sun

The first one gave you life and the second taught you to live it

The first gave you a need for love the second was there to give it

One gave you a nationality the other gave you a name

One gave you a talent the other gave you aim

One gave you emotions the other calmed your fears

One saw your first sweet smile the other dried your tears

One sought for you a home that she could not provide the other prayed for a child and her hope was not denied

And now you ask me through your tears the age old question unanswered through the years

Heredity or environment which are you a product of?

Reunion in Ottawa and others - Zusammenkunft in Ottawa und anderes

Another long weekend has come and passed and we had a lot of fun. On June 30 we were at a renunion of our adoption agency in Ottawa and met a lot of the families that we travelled with as well as a few new ones. We also had another party at one of the families houses in Ottawa which was very nice as well. I will put a few words beside each photo to describe what is is.

Schon wieder ein langes Wochenende, das kam und ging...und wir hatten wieder mal viel Spass. Am 30. Juni waren wir auf einer Zusammenkunft der Adoptionsagentur in Ottawa und haben einige der Familien, die mit uns gereist sind, wiedergesehen. Auch waren wir auf einer Party in Ottawa bei einer der Familien eingeladen, was sehr nett war. Ich werde mit ein paar Worten die Bilder beschreiben.

Hope auf dem 'Traktor' des Bauernhofes auf der die Zusammenkunft stattfand. - Hope on the tractor of the Fallowfield Animal Farm where we had the reunion.

Das hat ihr gut gefallen, auch wenn das Pferd nicht echt war. - She really liked this even though the horse wasn't real.
