A playdate with the girls - Die Maedchen trafen sich zum spielen

Here are a few photos from last Saturday, we met with four of the families for a little playdate. It was so much fun to see the girls chase each other, dance together and sit at the table and eat together. We should do that more often. Other than that, all is well, I may even post a few photos of Steve's ski trip next week, he will be coming back on Wednesday. It was so tough to see my little girl bawl her eyes out in the mornings when I left :-(

Hier sind ein paar Fotos von letztem Samstag, wir hatten eine kleine Zusammenkunft mit vier der Familien, die mit uns in China waren. Es war wirklich suess die Maedchen zusammen am Tisch essen zu sehen und gemeinsam tanzen, lachen und streiten. Sie erkennen sich mittlerweile alle und wissen alle Namen. Hope antwortet mittlerweile auf die Frage wie sie heisst manchmal mit Hope Turner. Ansonsten ist alles klar, Steve wird morgen von seinem Ski Trip zurueck kommen, vielleicht kann ich ja noch ein paar Fotos reinstellen.

Bin froh, wenn er wieder zuhause ist, dann muss ich mein kleines Maedchen nicht jeden Morgen mit Traenen in den Augen zurueck lassen :-(

It's about time for another post - Jetzt muss ich aber wieder mal bloggen

Sorry about that, it has been a while since I last posted but it has been a busy time with the new job and a trip to Southern California. We had so much fun there, the pictures will show that. After getting back, we just want this winter to be over, enough of that snow. At least it has been around 0 degrees which is bearable. Anyway, without further ado, here come the photos.

Tut mir ja leid, dass ich schon so lange nichts mehr habe hoeren lassen aber es war halt viel los, erstmal der neue Job und dann unsere Reise nach Kalifornien. Wir hatten super viel Spass in Kali, die Fotos sprechen fuer sich. Als wir zurueck kamen, war es umso schwerer sich wieder an die kalten Temperaturen zu gewoehnen, es ist nun aber genug mit dem Winter! Immerhin sind es seit Montag so um die 0 Grad, einigermassen ertraeglich. Auf jeden Fall ohne Umschweife nun die Fotos.

What happened the last two weeks - Die letzten zwei Wochen

Weihnachten und Neujahr ist nun vorbei und meine Eltern sind wieder nach Deutschland zurueck geflogen. Es war eine schoene Zeit, leider wieder mal viel zu kurz aber am Montag trete ich eine neue Stelle bei GlaxoSmithKline in Mississauga an und das wird mich erst mal auf Trab halten. Es waren fuenf gute Jahre bei Andrew Peller Limited und ich werde alle Kollegen sehr vermissen :-( aber ich bin ja nicht aus der Welt. Jetzt kommen erstmal ein paar Bilder von den Weihnachtstagen.

Christmas and New Year's are over and my parents have gone back to Germany. We had a really good time, much too short as usual but I will start my new job at GlaxoSmithKline on Monday and that will keep my thoughts on something else for a while. I had five really good years at APL and I will miss all of my colleagues terribly but I am not out of this world. Firstly, I will post some new pictures.

15 Days til Christmas - Noch 15 Tage bis Weihnachten

Oh my gosh, this year has just flown by, seems like it was yesterday that I went back to work. Now we are in the midst of Advent and all kinds of stuff is happening. So last weekend we had four parties to attend, which was quite eventful and Hope is still recovering from the running around. There are only three next weekend (!) and for the one after that we have no plans (yet), haha. I wrote Christmas cards yesterday but there is still lots to do before my parents come and we can enjoy some quiet time. I love it though, to be with friends and family is the best thing in the world.

Oh, Du meine Guete, dieses Jahr ist nur so vorbeigeflogen; es ist als ob ich erst gestern wieder in die Arbeit zurueck bin. Jetzt sind wir mitten in der Adventszeit und alles moegliche ist los. Am letzten Wochenende waren wir auf vier Parties, was sich bei Hope noch heute bemerkbar macht, sie hat viel Schlaf nachzuholen. Am naechsten Wochenende sind es nur drei (!), erholsam, oder? Am Wochenende vor Weihnachten haben wir (noch) nichts vor, haha. Ich habe mich wenigstens gestern schon mal hingesetzt und Weihnachtskarten geschrieben, aber es gibt noch viel zu tun bevor Papa und Mama hierher kommen und wir es ruhiger angehen lassen koennen. Es gibt aber dennoch nicht schoeneres als die Zeit mit Freunden und Familie zu verbringen!

Hope just loves dogs, so she was very excited to be dressed up as one and that Tie came Trick-or- Treating with us. He was with Bo Peep as the 'Wolf in sheep's clothes'.

Hope liebt Hunde ueber alles, somit war sie super begeistert als Hund verkleidet zu sein. Auch fand sie es toll, dass Tie mitkam zum 'Suesses-oder-Saures' sagen. Er war der Wolf im Schafspelz.

Geburtstag - Birthday

Unser kleines Maedchen ist jetzt schon zwei Jahre alt, ich kann gar nicht glauben, wie die Zeit vergeht. Wir hatten eine nette Party am letzten Mittwoch abend und dann eine grosse Party mit neun der Familien, die mit uns in China waren. Es war eine Mischung aus Geburtstags- und Halloween Feier, die Bilder sprechen fuer sich.

Our little girl is already two years old, I can't believe how time flies. We had a nice party last Wednesday evening and a big party on the weekend with nine of the eleven families we travelled to China with. It was a Birthday/Halloween Party, the photos speak for themselves :-)
