Germany visit and other - Deutschland Besuch und anderes

Okay, jetzt ist es wirklich mal wieder an der Zeit fuer einen Post, ich war vom 12.-21. Juni in Deutschland und von dort ein paar Schnappschuesse. Letztes Wochenende waren wir dann auf einem Festival, von wo die letzteren Bilder kommen. Viel Spass.

Ottawa Tulip Festival and a visit to the Zoo

I should have posted these a while ago but something always came up, that's life as a full-time working Mama....we went to Ottawa on the May long weekend (all had a weird stomach flu unfortunately) and yesterday we went to a smaller local Zoo which was fun, just big enough to spend two hours. I'll keep it short, we are off to participate in a PRIDE training (all adopting families now have to go through this in Ontario) as a presenting family.
Here comes Ottawa first:
Ich haette die Fotos schon lange reinstellen sollen aber irgendwas war immer los, so ist es halt als Vollzeit arbeitende Mama....vor drei Wochen waren wir in Ottawa beim Tulpenfestival (hatten aber leider alle drei eine Darmgrippe) und gestern sind wir in einen kleineren Zoo hier in der Naehe gegangen, der gerade gross genug ist um zwei Stunden schoen zu verbringen. So, ich muss mich kurz halten, da wir schon wieder bald weg muessen, hier die Fotos:Bycicling in Ottawa Tulips everywhere

Yesterday I ran my personal best Half Marathon 2:01! Have to brag a little bit, it was Mother's Day and I felt good, the weather was great and the course was a net downhill, really nice scenery. I would do that one again. Below a couple photos before the race.

Gestern habe ich meine persoenliche Bestzeit in einem Halbmarathon erreicht, 2 Stunden 1 Minute. Muss doch mal ein bisschen prahlen, es war Muttertag und ich habe mich gut gefuehlt, das Wetter war schoen und ein Grossteil der Strecke war leicht bergab (auch bergauf, hat man aber nicht so germerkt). Vor dem Lauf habe ich ein paar Fotos geschossen.

Here are a few photos from last Saturday, we met with four of the families for a little playdate. It was so much fun to see the girls chase each other, dance together and sit at the table and eat together. We should do that more often. Other than that, all is well, I may even post a few photos of Steve's ski trip next week, he will be coming back on Wednesday. It was so tough to see my little girl bawl her eyes out in the mornings when I left :-(

Hier sind ein paar Fotos von letztem Samstag, wir hatten eine kleine Zusammenkunft mit vier der Familien, die mit uns in China waren. Es war wirklich suess die Maedchen zusammen am Tisch essen zu sehen und gemeinsam tanzen, lachen und streiten. Sie erkennen sich mittlerweile alle und wissen alle Namen. Hope antwortet mittlerweile auf die Frage wie sie heisst manchmal mit Hope Turner. Ansonsten ist alles klar, Steve wird morgen von seinem Ski Trip zurueck kommen, vielleicht kann ich ja noch ein paar Fotos reinstellen.

Bin froh, wenn er wieder zuhause ist, dann muss ich mein kleines Maedchen nicht jeden Morgen mit Traenen in den Augen zurueck lassen :-(

It's about time for another post - Jetzt muss ich aber wieder mal bloggen

Sorry about that, it has been a while since I last posted but it has been a busy time with the new job and a trip to Southern California. We had so much fun there, the pictures will show that. After getting back, we just want this winter to be over, enough of that snow. At least it has been around 0 degrees which is bearable. Anyway, without further ado, here come the photos.

Tut mir ja leid, dass ich schon so lange nichts mehr habe hoeren lassen aber es war halt viel los, erstmal der neue Job und dann unsere Reise nach Kalifornien. Wir hatten super viel Spass in Kali, die Fotos sprechen fuer sich. Als wir zurueck kamen, war es umso schwerer sich wieder an die kalten Temperaturen zu gewoehnen, es ist nun aber genug mit dem Winter! Immerhin sind es seit Montag so um die 0 Grad, einigermassen ertraeglich. Auf jeden Fall ohne Umschweife nun die Fotos.
